ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the differences of umbilical vein diameter(D), time average peak velocity(TAmax) and blood flow between congenital heart disease and normal fetus. Methods:The umbilical vein diameter and time average peak velocity of 69 fetuses with congenital heart disease (disease group) from 22 to 27 weeks were prospectively studied in Maternal-Fetal Medical Center in Fetal Heart Disease of Beijing Anzhen Hospital from May 2021 to September 2021. Q 1 (umbilical venous blood flow) was calculated according to the formular [Q=0.5TAmax·π·(D/2) 2)], and Q 2 (Q 2=Q 1/weight) was calculated according to the fetal weight. At the same time, 111 normal fetuses with matched gestational age were selected as control group. The differences of fetal umbilical vein D, TAmax, Q 1 and Q 2 between the two groups were analyzed. Results:The inner diameter of umbilical vein D, TAmax, Q 1 and Q 2 in the congenital heart disease group were lower than those in the control group(all P<0.05). In the control group, the inner diameter of umbilical vein D, TAmax and Q 1 increased with the increase of gestational age and showed a positive linear correlation( r=0.608, 0.320, 0.626; all P≤0.001), while there was no obvious linear correlation between Q 2 and gestational age( r=0.189, P=0.047). Conclusions:The decrease of umbilical vein D, TAmax, Q 1 and Q 2 in the fetus with congenital heart disease indicates the decrease of effective blood flow in placenta-fetus circulation, which indirectly reflects the decrease of placental function in the fetus with congenital heart disease.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To study the relation of bile acid levels and fetal hypoxia and brain injury in Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy (ICP). Methods: From May. 2006 to Sep. 2006, we selected 30 cases of ICP as the study group, and randomly selected 30 cases of normal pregnant women for delivery during the same period as the control group in our hospital. Color Doppler ultrasound was used to measure the peak systolic velocity to end-diastolic velocity (S/D) and the resistive index (RI) of fetal middle cerebral artery, and the automatic biochemical analyzer be used to detect the total bile acid (BA) in maternal blood, and BA, pH as well as lactate in umbilical arterial serum; neuron-specific enolase (NSE) in umbilical artery serum was detected by ELISA. The results were analyzed and compared. Results:①The BA concentration in maternal blood and newborn umbilical artery blood of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group ( P<0.01). In the study group, the BA in maternal and newborn blood were positively correlated ( r=0.937, P< 0.01) ;②Lactate and the NSE Concentration in newborn umbilical artery of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group ( P< 0.01). The pH value innewbom umbilical artery and The S/D, RI value of fetal middle cerebral artery in the study group was significantly lower than those of control group ( P< 0.01); ③ In the study group, the NSE concentration was positively correlated with BA and lactate concentration in newborn umbilical artery, while negatively correlated with the S/D and RI values of fetal middle cerebral artery and the pH value in newborn umbilical artery ( P<0.01). Conclusions: There is the existence of hypoxia and brain injury in fetus of ICP. By measuring the blood flow changes of fetal cerebral artery with Color Doppler and detecting pH, lactate as well as NSE levels in umbilical arterial blood, we could early predict the fetal hypoxia and diagnose the fetal brain injury in ICP.

ABSTRACT

AIM:To observe the effects and comparison of promoting the blood flow of Chinese formulated products on endothelial function in chronic stable angina.METHODS:200 chronic stable angina patients were randomized to Danshen root,Ginkgo leaf,Troxerutin,or placebo and treated for 4 weeks. The FMD and NMD were measured by echocardiography. The level of ET-1 in plasma was measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The level of NO in plasma was measured by nitrate reductase assay. All the data will be collected before and after treatment to analyze the effects of Chinese formulated products of endothelial function.RESULTS:Compared with the placebo group, before and after treatment of Danshen Pill group and venoruton group have a large change in FMD values(P
